Job description

At GBfoods we offer culinary solutions in several countries of Europe and Africa with prestigious leading local brands, including Jumbo, Gallina Blanca, Erasco, Gino, Liebig, Star, Bama, D&L, Grand'Italia and Blå Band, among others.

Some of our local brands have been in consumers' kitchens for over a century and have positioned themselves as authentically loved brands, as well as deeply rooted parts of the local culture.

We are now looking for a Wages & Salaries Controller to join our passionate Finance team. Based in our headquarters office in Barcelona, the selected candidate will play a key role in the group’s financial strategy: reviewing the wages & salaries to enable sound decision making for management via relevant key business insights. In this role you will work in an international, diverse and dynamic team.

Role & Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the development of the financial strategy related to Wages & Salaries
Lead the preparation, consolidation and the monitoring of the HR budget at a Corporate level in all the countries across Africa and Europe
Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data, focusing on Wages & Salaries, providing valuable financial analyses and insights to all relevant stakeholders and decision-makers
Be responsible for calculating and consolidating data (salary review, compensation, bonus payment, calculation, etc.)
Support in the implementation of HR Systems (SAP, Business Object, Business Intelligence…)

Requirements

Requirements:

+10 years of financial experience of which +3 years’ experience in a Controller position or similar role
Experience/background in Big 4 will be valued
In-depth understanding and proven expertise in financial reporting and accounting
Strong analytical skills and experience of interpreting financial data to support business decisions
Ability to handle multiple high priority projects in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and have a sense of personal responsibility for quality work
Exceptional attention to detail
Proficient with Excel
English proficiency level mandatory
