Job description

GBfoods Africa offer culinary solutions operating in over 24 countries with a regional office in Accra - Ghana.

Role:

Reporting to the IT Applications Manager,

The IT Applications Specialist is responsible for the delivery of Operations projects and act as a business partner in the operations area. The position will be mainly focused on SAP MTD and PTP (MM, PP, PM, QM & WM) playing a key role in the provision of end-user support with new tools, contributing to driving our Operations landscape into the future.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP projects — from requirements through testing, training, and go-live.
  • Participate in the definition of business requirements and perform gap analysis between Operations requirements and SAP MTD/PTP standard functionalities.
  • Analyze business requirements and identify gaps between Operations needs and SAP capabilities.
  • Serve as First point of escalation for Applications and IT/Business Process issues.
  • Collaborate with global and local Operations process owners to design and implement future-ready processes.
  • Provides guidance and information to business partners on system capabilities and challenge in the current Operations process.
  • Understand processes across the organization to efficiently coordinate the IT applications and business processes that run the company day to day.
  • Help the rest of the support Team to assess the impact, urgency and criticality of the incidents and improvement requests reported by business.
  • Deliver regular end-user training and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the IT Operations Area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Business Technology.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of working experience in the same or similar role preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP (H4HANA/ ECC) specifically MTD/PTP modules: MM, PP, QM, PM & WM.
  • Strong understanding in Operations and manufacturing business process.
  • Proven Project Management experience with the ability to deliver on time.
  • Certification in any of the SAP operations Modules is mandatory.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders from different backgrounds (Operations and IT).
  • Proactive person with ability to build relationships and work effectively, independently and within a team.
  • Fluency in English: French is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge in process and cloud integration is beneficial.
