Health & Safety:

  • Ensure the implementation and enforcement of Corporate Health & Safety policies and procedures, with the ambition of building a positive safety culture to build a workplace that is safer, healthier, more sustainable, and truly people-centered.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate Health & Safety into all operations.
  • Conduct and review workplace risk assessments and prepare specific technical reports.
  • Monitor the Preventive Planning process; produce technical reports and participate in Safety Committee meetings.
  • Execute improvement proposals or actions in Health & Safety, ensuring their communication and implementation.
  • Design and periodically evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Management System procedures.
  • Coordinate training needs in collaboration with HR.
  • Manage accident reports and Health & Safety Leading KPIs.
  • Oversee incident management in the workplace.
  • Handle technical aspects and health surveillance, acting as liaison with the External Prevention Service (SPA) and Mutual Insurance provider.
  • Coordinate emergency response and first aid actions.
  • Ensure preventive activity coordination with external companies.
  • Participate in the Health & Safety Committee, drafting minutes, reports, and tracking preventive actions.
  • Manage PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Promote and organize wellness and mental health campaigns/programs at the workplace.

Quality:

  • Implement and plan the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Draft, monitor, and execute quality and cleaning plans, procedures, and supplier/material approvals.
  • Develop and update factory-specific procedures (HACCP, Pest Control).
  • Review HACCP system records, detect deviations, and establish corrective actions to ensure product safety.
  • Monitor pest control plans.
  • Monitor water potability control plans to ensure product hygiene.
  • Conduct internal audits (e.g., hygiene, foreign object control).
  • Collaborate on internal and external certification, audits.
  • Participate in sampling, inspections, and decision-making regarding acceptance/rejection of controls based on specifications.

Environmental Management Responsibilities:

  • Oversee plant environmental management system activities in line with company policies and Environmental Manager guidelines.
  • Identify and assess legal environmental requirements; execute and monitor compliance programs.
  • Prepare documentation to meet national, international, and ISO standards.
  • Coordinate environmental controls, waste management, and auxiliary services (water treatment, air, etc.).
  • Ensure facilities comply with environmental regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor and improve waste segregation procedures.
  • Promote best practices in energy, water, and resource conservation.
  • Act according to the plant’s Environmental Emergency Plan.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Higher Technical Education and/or Food Science and Technology.
  • Master’s degree in Integrated Management (Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, and Environment) is a plus.
  • Certified ‘Técnico Superior de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (TSPRL)’ across all three specialties: Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Training or experience in safety management systems such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 or preventive culture projects will be positively valued.
  • Training or experience in quality and environmental management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 22000, FSSC, or other relevant certification frameworks will be positively valued.
  • Proficient in office software packages: Microsoft Office, SAP, CAD, etc.
