We are now looking for a Technical Project Leader (Junior) to join our R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing cross-functional development projects from concept through to commercialization. You will coordinate efforts between research, engineering, quality, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution, on time and within scope.

 

Product Development:  

  • Creation of formulation prototyping in the kitchen lab, scale-up in the pilot plant, and deployment at the main plant level as per the brief within cost. 
  • To make sure the product brief complies with the Nutrition and Environmental company policy. Together with the teams of quality, to submit the conformity of products in terms of food safety. 
  • Development of relevant technical datasheets and SOPs to ensure delivery of product quality, food safety, and production action standards. Ensure compliance to GB standards and food regulations.
  • Sensory capacity for the evaluation of ingredients and finished products. Knowledge of organoleptic descriptors that allow sensory characterization
  • Up to date with food consumer trends, new ingredient developments, and vendor capabilities 

Project Management:  

  • Manage low-complex technical projects for new products, line extensions, quality, and productivity initiatives. To find solutions for reliable prototyping delivery, both for internal and external assessment, as well as for technical and/or commercial validation. 
  • Ensure a flawless project execution following the defined governance to ensure on-time in full delivery. 
  • Effective liaison with all relevant Operations & Supply Chain Functions, eg, Technical Category Manager, purchasing, planning & factory team, including Contract manufacturing, Marketing, and other cross-functional. 
  • Product improvement & value engineering projects: identify potential areas of flexing current specifications/formulation competition benchmarking to drive potential savings, sustain product superiority 
  • Provides technical expertise to production, quality, and purchasing departments

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

University Degree in Food Science, Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or related studies.  

EXPERIENCE 

1-3 Yrs Experience in R&D within the food industry, with a proven track record as an R&D Product Developer, Project management or in a similar role. 

Travel requirements: 25% in Europe
