At GBfoods we offer culinary solutions in several countries of Europe and Africa with prestigious leading local brands, including Jumbo, Gallina Blanca, Erasco, Gino, Liebig, Star, Bama, D&L, Grand'Italia and Blå Band, among others.  GBfoods Africa operates in 24 countries with a Regional office in Accra - Ghana.

About the Strategy Manager, Africa role

The Strategy Manager, Africa role, works with the Stategy Director, Africa and other key stakeholders to shape the long-term strategy of GBfoods Africa and develop initiatives and measures to realize these goals.  

The role is based in Accra - Ghana with relocation support provided.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Strategy & Transformation Director Africa, you will

  • Support on the definition of the GBfoods Africa Strategic Plans
  • Drive business transformation, including management of projects and strategic support on key projects.
  • Manage key governance / routines of the company: Africa Management Team,
  • Work directly with Senior members of the organization, providing advisory and analytical support.
  • Scout the market for merger and acquisition ( M & A) opportunities support with due diligence and post integration activities.
  • Play a pivotal role to drive the Sustainability Agenda across Africa, working with multiple stakeholders to achieve our targes.
  • Contribute ti executive and board level reporting.
  • Available to travel regionally (at least 20% of the time).

Requirements

Technical Competencies

  • Previous experience in either consulting or structured multinational work environment (3-5 years)
  • Project Management expertise
  • Language: Fluent in English and minimum good command of French
