Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Install, connect, and test electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures following electrical codes and standards.
  2. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems to identify and resolve issues before they lead to failures or accidents.
  3. Replace or repair faulty components, such as circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and motors.
  4. Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and troubleshooting techniques to pinpoint the root causes of malfunctions.
  5. Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components, such as fuses, relays, transformers, and capacitors.
  6. Identify and rectify issues related to circuit overloads, short circuits, and ground faults.
  7. Interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to understand the layout and connections of electrical systems.
  8. Use testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and voltage testers to measure and verify the performance of electrical systems.
  9. Calibrate and adjust electrical equipment to ensure accuracy and optimal functionality.
  10. Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and professionals to coordinate projects and address complex electrical issues.
  11. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance tasks.
  12. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, especially in cases where electrical expertise is required.
  13. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Requirements

  1. Minimum HND in electrical engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role preferably in a food manufacturing industry
  3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  4. Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including team members, clients, and project managers.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
  6. Thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices, with a commitment to ensuring a safe work environment.
  7. Good organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
