Purpose of Role:

The purpose of this position is to provide basic essential skills required for direct application on the production process.

Results / Accountabilities

1.         Confirm the product to be produced with the shift supervisor and coordinate with the lab for the required recipe.

2.        Establish specifications for bulk paste i.e., Colour, Brix, Bostwick, Brightness, pH, Acidity, Acid Ratio, Reducing Sugar at the start of operation.

3.        Strictly follow ingredient dosage according to formulary card

4.        Mix adequate proportion of required raw material for production of FG under the best temperature for utmost specification level.

5.        Check quality of each blend (batchwise)

6.        Monitor gauges, valves or other indicators to make sure the machine is running efficiently.

7.        Monitor process parameters such as vacuum, temperature, pressure and adjust to keep process in specified limits.

8.        Ensure materials wastage due to spillage are accounted for.

9.        Inspect equipment to determine malfunctioning valves, breakages, and leaks.

10.     Responsible for supplying product to filling section and maintaining product quality.

11.       Coordinate samples for lab analysis and ensure product are within specification.

12.      Conduct start- up and shutdown process

13.      Ensure CIP is done regularly and on time.

14.      Keep accurate records of all data required.

15.      Recommend changes and improvements of equipment to superior.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • •   HND in Chemical Engineering, Food process Engineering, Food Technology or any related course.
    •    Minimum 1-year experience in similar role.
    •    Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of current FSMS & ISO standards are a must.
    •    Knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery including any one or more of filling, cutting,  packaging, pressing & wrapping granulating, boules, blending etc. machines and measurement tools 

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to identify patterns and trends from data.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the food industry.
