Job Purpose: 

The Business Development and Route to Market Senior Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Business Development & Route to Market Director by providing data-driven insights and analyses that optimize our distribution strategy and enhance sales performance. This role involves analyzing sales data, tracking performance metrics, and supporting the design and implementation of sales incentives and distributor performance management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

1. Sales Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Analyze sales data from the sales automation tool to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize route-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators and sales metrics.

2. Sales Incentive Support:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of sales incentive programs aimed at motivating and improving sales team performance.
  • Track the effectiveness of incentive programs and provide data-driven recommendations for adjustments.
  • Ensure clear communication of incentive plans to the sales team to drive understanding and engagement.

3. Distributor Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor distributor performance and generate regular reports on key metrics and areas needing improvement.
  • Support the preparation and management of distributor rebates, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, providing analytical support to enhance their performance.

4. Return on Investment (ROI) Analysis:

  • Conduct ROI analysis for distributors to evaluate the effectiveness of investments and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to ensure accurate ROI reporting and provide recommendations for optimizing distributor partnerships.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales analytics, or route-to-market roles within the FMCG industry.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools, sales automation software, and dashboard reporting.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, insights generation, and sales performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG market and distribution channels in Ghana is preferred.
